Bright, vibrant and colourful new mural completed March 2024

On the corner of Howard Street and Iffley Road, the Midcounties Co–op provides us with an array of groceries and vital post office services.  It is always busy, open seven days a week and well used by local residents.

The boundary wall of the building is always a target for grafitti and gives the impression that the area is uncared for, we want to change this perception and discourage graffiti and tagging.    On the 25th March “LisaMadeIt” started a new mural that represents the hustle and bustle of this busy corner.  The weather was against us and we has some real downpours but on Friday 29th March we were joined by residents and local shoppers to see the mural being completed.  The Co-op kindly donated hot cross buns for us to give away and we were joined by Jon Little, Area Manager for Midcounties Co-op, so he could see first hand what a transformation has been made.  A wonderful addition to our area.
